1920's inspired embroidery

I created these pieces for a 1920's inspired project. I screen printed the pieces with my drawings of the 1920's ladies, then embellished them.

This pieces was screen printed with  flock glue, then flock paper was applied under a heat press.
The clouds were laser cut into the fabric, and reverse appliqué was applied with a contrast colour background.

This piece was also done in flock, with foil applied to the moon. Sequins and beads were applied to the night sky.
Another flock piece onto silk, with beads applied.

This lady was sewn using the freehand embroidery foot on my sewing machine. I then reworked into the drawing with hand stitched embellishment.

Detail. Chain stitch.

Sample pieces.
